Laughing will help you to feel relaxed.

The physiological stress level in your body reduces considerably with the physical act of laughing. A more calming state is induced when the brain releases endorphins while someone is laughing. Initially, laughing will increase blood pressure and heart rate, but after laughing a person will experience a drop in blood pressure and their heart rate actually slows.

Laughing gives your immunity a boost.

Humor plays an important role in enhancing a person's health. Laughter can help your immune system, because it reduces the stress hormones that your body creates and also increases the production of the cells, which help protect you from diseases. The overall effect will give you a stronger immune system.

How laughing helps change your perspective.

With all the serious aspects of our lives, we rarely change our perspective of a situation from the seriousness we experience frequently. To create distance and change your perspective when looking a situation, it is beneficial to find humor in the situation. Doing so will help you to feel less stress when dealing with the stress involved in the experience.

Find people that make you laugh.

I love being around funny people. There are some people I know that are so witty and funny, just looking at them makes me smile. Also, humor from others can be very contagious, and helps you to start seeing the lighter side of things. Your stress levels will decrease by being around people that are funny and laughing. It will help you to take yourself less seriously, and learn to laugh at yourself. Learning to laugh at yourself takes away much of the stress that is triggered during stressful circumstances.

Remember, he who laughs last, laughs hardest.

When you are having a stressful moment, remember to step back and find some humor in the situation. When you laugh, you will decrease your stress levels.
