Owner / Licensed Massage Therapist
VIVIEN T.
Vivien was born & raised near Taipei, Taiwan. She moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 1996, where she met her future husband, Scott. They have been married since 1997 and have two children.
Vivien learned massage therapy through private instruction and has been associated with The Massage Store since 2006. In 2008, Vivien and Scott decided to venture into the industry even more by purchasing The Massage Store from the previous owner.
Vivien's attitude, humor and personality are a major draw for many of the clients that come into the store on a regular basis. She admits, though, that it is sometimes difficult overcoming stereotypes relating to her ethnicity and the massage profession. But with a personal clientele of doctors, nurses, chiropractors, attorneys, law enforcement officers and others, anyone that knows Vivien knows how dedicated she is to her profession, her character and her integrity.
Vivien constantly strives to enhance her knowledge and skills by taking continuing education classes. Recent classes include techniques on rotator cuff release, cranial sacral therapy, sciatica treatments and more.
Vivien says "Massage is not just a luxury, it is a necessity. I encourage people to make the time for massage, not just to take care of their body, but also their mind. Often people focus on other people's needs and not their own. Relaxation and stress reduction through massage lets you re-energize your mind, body and soul so you can maintain focus on other priorities in your life. I enjoy being a part of that process for my clients. No matter who they are, where they work or what they look like, the client that is on my table is my top priority."

JACKIE
Born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Mexico, I moved back to the USA in 2009 after I finished my Masters degree in the YMCA Mexico University. I am bilingual (Spanish and English).
I spent my first year in the USA living in Greeley, Colorado and that same year I got married to my boyfriend from Mexico. We then moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2010, where I worked for 5 years at a Resort in various hotels around the town in the mountain until my daughter was born. I loved the mountain life, the snow and the outdoors, but we were ready to experience another town and decided to move to Grand Junction.
While living in the valley I decided to go back to school and start my new journey as a Massage Therapist. I attended Essential Therapeutic Massage School in 2016, because ever since high school that was one of my interests. I wanted to pursue a career that I was passionate about and one where I could help people feel better. I believe in the energy and vibes we can transmit through our hands.
After I graduated and got my license I didn’t stop. I kept learning and adding more techniques to my practice. I learned WATSU, prenatal massage, Swedish massage, Hot stone, Craniosacral therapy in water, rapid tension relief or percussion therapy, medical massage, and K-Taping.
When I am massaging, I enjoy listening to my patient’s needs and I like to explain why I use certain techniques or movements. I like to help them to feel relaxed, pampered, and refreshed after their session.
